Film Review: Mamma Mia

Went to see this film on a Saturday afternoon expecting to have a cinema filled with children. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was mostly adults. That said, there was one child of four whom was glued to the screen enjoying herself.

Unless you have a heart of stone, are a person that is full of sexist thoughts like "this is a womans film", etc then you should enjoy "Mamma Mia". Very few that have seen it can refuse to say that they didn't tap their feet or feel like joining in singing with the songs, even if it was in their heads! Catchy and just good fun, the film was good clean entertainment at its best. Turn on your TV today and see how many things on it you can say that about!
In plot alone, it was actually amazing how the songs at times were perfectly written and placed within the storyline, to make great sense and added to the plot.

If your looking for a film to educate your brain cells, this is not the film for you. If your looking for a break from the daily drudge and you need a lift in spirit, this film is definitely a film for you. An Oscar winner it might not be but as entertaining as films go that have music in them, this rates as one that will last the years to come.

If his film is available for Christmas on DVD, it will sell by the bucketload. I'm first in the queue. Very Happy
